Hello, everyone.
Early in the morning, after sending my lil brother and sister to school, we (mama, baba and me) went straight to Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL). Baba dropped us at clinic. Myyy it's not even 8am yet, but people already queue and it is longgggg. So we queued. I asked mama why we have to queue since we already have referral letter from clinic. Mama said, just queue. When our turn arrives, we'll show the letter to the officer, said mama. You know I hate waiting. I am an impatient person. I told mama, let's just ask the officer. Mama went to the counter, while I'm queueing. Then she came back to me and said let's go to the specialist centre but we have to walk from here. Haaa thank God, so we walked to specialist centre for about 10 minutes exercising-on-the-spot LOL.
Upon arrived, we gave the referral letter to the nurse. And wait for another half an hour. The nurse called my name, and she said I have to go to new building of specialist centre. I was like OK, WHEN ARE WE GOING TO SEE THE DOCTOR? Went out of the building, walked straight to new building, asked the guard where should we go, went into lift straight to level 8 where Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department. Waited again for my name to be called SO MANY PEOPLE I REMIND YOU. After mumbling and whining to mama when my name is going to be called because I need to go to work, man hehe FINALLY my name has been called. There I ran yes I ran tau straight to the room to meet my doctor. Ah beautiful young doctor, man. Now I'm insecure, she is beautiful. She's thin, fair and have a clear skin, wore nice clothes and pretty tudung and even have a reference book on her table in case when she needs to refer something. Come on, who doesn't like beauty nerd like her oh btw have I mentioned she's a doctor? HAHA *insert heart eyes emoji* *why the hell I didn't study smart in school so I can be a doctor?* *girl crush* *quit designer job and go to meds school LOL* *I'm kidding, I love my job dearly*
OK back to my story.
So beautiful doctor checked me, asked me lotssssss of questions like; how long do you have this lump? Do you feel pain? Is there any lump other than at your neck? Do you have trouble sleeping at night? Do you have TB in your family? Waitttttt....TB? No. Well, all my answers are a simple NO. Maybe she got tired with my answers hehe she told me to do few tests:
- They inserted a tube-like camera into my nose to see if there's any lump inside near my throat. I can watch where the camera go, because there's a TV in front of me amazingggggggg I got to see my inner parts! Mama on the other side was looking so worried she kept asking me is it hurt. Not hurt at all, but a bit of ticklish.
- They gave me 3 tiny bottles to bring back home. They told me, every morning when you wake up, before brush your teeth or eat just take the bottle and spit any err phlegm for 3 days (hence the 3 bottles) and come back for us to take it for test.
- TB test. One of the nurse, injected me and told me when having shower please do not let the water come to this area (she drew a circle to the injected area) and come back after 3 days.
Got my new appointment date, which was on Thursday. Went to HKL again, to get the results. First result was TB, well I am not having TB Alhamdulillah. Next, went upstairs to level 8 to send my bottles. I told the nurse I don't have cough how should I get the phlegm out of moi? The nurse laughed and said its ok, that means you're not suffering from TB.
Dear readers, you must be wondering if not TB what am I suffering/having, right?
I went to see another doctor (doctor change every single time for check up, because they rotate their schedule between clinic and operation). This time was a hot dude eh I mean Chinese male doctor. Upon reading my documents and what nots, he asked the same question like the previous doctor in which I am tired to answer already. He told me from discussion with other doctors, they were not sure of what I am having, so I need to go downstairs, to have another injection which was, the staff injected me at the neck area to get sample and send it to the lab for test. Yes, another test which I have to wait for days. Later, baba sent me to office. I am so lucky to have a boss and colleague that understand my situations that time.
The following week, I went to HKL again to get tissue sample result. Ok, for this one I will write another post.
Thank you for reading.
X,
Nina.
